FROM THE MSI MYSPACE BULLETIN BOARD!
"As some of you may have heard, we are thrilled to announce TWO new members in the Mindless Self Indulgence family. In addition to MSI's bassist LynZ and her husband Gerard, MSI's guitarist Steve and his partner Lucinda have announced that they are expecting a baby late in the spring of 2009! This will be the first child for both Steve and Lucinda, as well as LynZ and Gerard.
It is very important that you hear this from us first and believe nothing to the contrary: While we will ask some of our friends to fill in for LynZ - and at a later date, Steve - so that they can be with their new families, neither member is leaving Mindless Self Indulgence permanently.
No shows will be cancelled -- in fact, we will be adding more throughout North America and beyond in the coming weeks. Please stay tuned for more news and information HERE, and check out the shows HERE as tickets are going fast for those shows which've been announced already.
'Till then, if you wish to leave Steve and LynZ's families congratulatory messages, do so HERE."

Location change for the protest.
I posted this to chemicalromance
but just in case you hadn't seen it and are coming.
This came via email:Hey, a major update about the protest so listen up!
The protest has changed location and will now be held by Marble Arch. There is a concrete area there, where we will go.
Marble Arch is in Oxford Street, London and is right next to Hyde Park. This means that lots of passers-by will see our protest. The nearest tube station is Marble Arch. Make sure you guys don't go to Derry Street or Round Pond, but meet here instead. This is where the majority of the protest will be and we won't be marching anywhere (simply because it'd be hard to keep everyone safe whilst we're moving).
See you guys in a couple days,
EDIT: The website is here
I'm not personally impressed with the change. I've emailed her back. You NEED to update the website with this info ASAP, otherwise people will not know.
I'm sorry to say this but it makes the whole thing kind of pointless, if we aren't actually going to protest at the newspaper that started it all. It's just a bunch of people standing on the street now.
EDIT: I had a responseIt's still a protest, we'll reach more people here and after liaising
with the police, we found out that we won't fit in Derry Street anyway.
The website will be updated in just a second.

I was under the impression MCR was cool about staying after shows and talking to people, at least some of the guys. Last 2 times I saw them we were put off by venue security, not the band's fault. Just now, however, they got right on the bus and left. Not real impressed. Current Mood: irritated

So, I was just wondering if anyone is missing out on MCR this tour? I'm in Boston and have been going through some major MCR withdrawal. Anyone else dealing with the band NOT coming to your city?
I am debating getting tickets off eBay just to go to the PA show. The money I will spend to see this band.. -_-;**EDIT**
I just got off work and am too lazy to reply to all you guys. (a new level of laziness for me) But no worries, you all gave pretty much the same advice and the motivation to go! ^_^ thanks! Hopefully hopping a bus to Philly isn't that insane of an idea. And yes, for once in my life I have enough money to travel and buy over-priced tickets!
My friends will all laugh at me when they hear this. I'm hoping to convince at least one to tag along, but I know from the past how much they hate MCR. Damn art school kids and their pretentious tastes in music. Current Mood: awake

Just got back from taking the kids to see Horton Hears a Who and I couldn't help but notice an uncanny resemblance between the character Jojo and a certain member of MCR.
Jojo is very quiet and he spends all his time alone working on his creative projects. At the end of the movie he even bursts into song! Even my 10 yr old daughter exclaimed, "It's Gerard!" as soon as she saw him!
Seems other people
have noticed the similarity too...

I'm hoping my reading of things isn't wrong, and as much as I hate to even say this...if this isn't allowed, please delete.
My friend dreamyraynbo
and I are looking to attend the Birmingham, AL concert on April 30. Thing is, we live in SW Florida, and doing that means we're going to have to spend a couple of days in Birmingham. We have absolutely no problem with that (Birmingham's an awesome city!), but our wallets do.
So. What we're looking for is info on cheap (but not terrifying) places to stay, crash space if anyone's willing to put up to really nice fangirls from Florida, ages 25 and days-shy-of-30-at-time-of-concert, even suggestions of a campground (I'm a champion camper. :D).
Anyone? Bueller? Help some fangirls out and give us ideas for where to look! (half my costs for this are going to my sitter to watch my 4 year old for 3 days, so please understand when i say we're on a tight budget and every little bit helps!)

Ok guys, did anyone else go to either of the Vegas shows?
I'm still on a high from them and I need someone to talk to...
Well, I'm going to bed now, but I'll definitely be on tomorrow.
And to those who did go - I have one word for you...Ben-Gay.
Anyway, I've written down some of my thoughts about the concert. They're behind the cut for length for anyone who's interested.( Read more...Collapse )

Hi, I hope intro posts are not frowned upon.
But I wanted to rejoin this comm simply because I love MCR but hate the wank and the content on this comm looks great.
Also a question - does anyone know if The Black Parade is Dead
is going to have more than one edition, because few things annoy me more than pre-ordering and paying for something and then having my ignorance shattered by someone telling me I missed out on the special edition or whatever. Thanks!
